Vijay’s Delhi outreach signals TVK’s expanding national footprint as Tamil Nadu issues take centre stage

‎‎New Delhi, Jun 10 (UNI) ‎Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam founder C Joseph Vijay on Wednesday embarked on a politically significant visit to New Delhi, combining official engagements with the country's top constitutional authorities and a series of high-profile meetings with opposition leaders, in a move that is being closely watched for its implications on both Centre-State relations and the evolving opposition landscape ahead of future electoral battles.
‎Vijay, who arrived in the national capital earlier in the day, began his engagements with a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The meeting marked one of his first major interactions with the President since assuming office as Chief Minister and came at a time when the Tamil Nadu government is seeking greater attention from the Centre on a range of administrative and developmental issues.
