Victim’s father’s statement casts doubt on alleged rape incident at IIM-C Joka

Kolkata, July 12 (UNI) In a surprising development, the alleged rape case at IIM-Calcutta's Joka campus in West Bengal took an unexpected turn when the victim’s father contradicted his daughter’s statement to the police, asserting that nothing had happened to her and that the statement was dictated to her.
"My daughter called at 9:34 PM. She said she had fallen from a car and was seriously injured. Later, she lost consciousness. She couldn’t understand where she was,” the father told the media outside SSKM Hospital, where his daughter is currently undergoing treatment.
When asked about the statement submitted to the police, he said, “That was dictated to her. My daughter has no connection with the accused.”
