VHP stages protest in Hyderabad demanding President's Rule in Bengal

Hyderabad, Apr 19 (UNI) As part of a nationwide protest, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Saturday organized a massive demonstration in Dilsukhnagar, Bhagyanagar, demanding the imposition of President's rule in West Bengal following recent violence.
Under the leadership of VHP District President Purushottam Reddy, protestors burned effigies of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and alleged "jihadi" elements.
VHP National Spokesperson Dr Ravinutala Shashidhar alleged that widespread violence targeting Hindus in Bengal, particularly in Murshidabad, has been ignored by the state government.
