VHP calls for freeing temples from Kerala Govt control

Kochi, Aug 4 (UNI) Demanding religious autonomy and the liberation of temples from the control of the Kerala Government, the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has announced a series of programmes, including agitations and awareness campaigns starting from September 2, 2025.
As a first step, the VHP will submit memorandums to the Kerala Chief Minister and all MLAs in the state as part of its nationwide campaign, a VHP release said.
The campaign aims to restore religious autonomy and ensure that the wealth and administration of temples are returned to the Hindu community. The VHP plans to organize public awareness meetings involving intellectuals, community leaders, and citizens in major cities.
