Vastupal gets another term as chairman of FICCI Gujarat State Council

Ahmedabad, Jan 8 (UNI) Industrialist Rajiv Vastupal, has been re-elected for another term as the chairman of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) - Gujarat State Council.
The new National President, FICCI, Rashesh Shah in an official communication on Monday informed Vastupal to continue as the Chairman of FICCI GSC during his tenure as well.
Emphasizing on expansion of the membership base, prominent visibility and involvement of the local chambers, Vastupal said, “FICCI is the true and fair voice of industry and trade at large. My mission for FICCI – Gujarat State Council is to enhance involvement of industries and increases membership by five-fold through an intensive drive. In addition, we will support industries by representing their issues to competent authorities through true and firm representations. In the coming year, our focus will be on conducting unique and landmark events, hosting high-level domestic and foreign delegations, organising domestic and international roadshows and exhibitions to highlight the potential and capabilities of Gujarat as the business destination of India.”
A first generation entrepreneur, Vastupal, Chairman of Ahmedabad-based Rajiv Petrochemicals Pvt. Ltd, has over the last 3 decades set up Team Rajiv from scratch. The multi crore diversified Team Rajiv is a leading player in Polymers, Woven sack bags & Fabrics, Electrical Cables & Switchgears, Light Fittings & Panel Boards.
He is the founder of Gujarat YPO Chapter and also board member of YPO Gold South Asia. He also served as member of the Board of Governors at IIM, Bangalore. Apart from being a very successful businessman, Mr Vastupal has been very active in contributing to society and social causes from an early age. In the year 1993, he formed a charitable trust as well as became Chairman and Managing Trustee in various family trusts.
