Vaithilingam seeks support of LG to set up two KVs in Pondy & Karaikal regions of UT

Puducherry,Dec 2 (UNI) Congress Lok Sabha member from Puducherry V Vaithilingam on Thursday sought the support of Lt.Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan for setting up two Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the Union Territory.
In a letter to the Lt.Governor, Mr Vaithilignam said that he had spoken with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who agreed to consider the request.
He said only 196 students are there in the S V Ramamurthy government school at Madukkarai and they be shifted to the nearest government school. The land of the school be allotted for setting up the KV.
