US State Secretary Marco Rubio to discuss Gaza future, West Bank annexation in meeting with PM Benjamin Netanyahu

Washington/Jerusalem, Sep 14 (UNI) US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to raise Israel's controversial E-1 settlement project which calls for West Bank annexation, as well as issues like the future of Gaza and the recent Israeli airstrike in Qatar, during talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, media reports said.
Netanyahu, who has already approved the E-1 venture, is seeking clarity on whether President Donald Trump's administration would back or block annexation plans.
"Rubio has signalled in private meetings that he doesn't oppose West Bank annexations and the Trump administration won't stand in the way," two Israeli officials told the outlet.
