US Senate approves funding for ICE and Border Patrol for rest of Trump's tenure

Washington, Jun 5 (UNI) The US Senate has approved a long-delayed funding package for the Department of Homeland Security's immigration enforcement agencies following an arduous overnight legislative battle which was dominated by disputes over the Trump administration's now-scrapped "anti-weaponisation" fund.
Lawmakers passed the roughly
70 billion package by a marginal 52-47 vote on Friday morning, securing funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol through the remainder of President Donald Trump's term.

Sinful Iranian aggression: Kuwait air defences intercept wave of missile and drone attacks

Kuwait City, July 18 (UNI) Kuwait’s air defence systems were activated on Saturday to counter a series of missile and drone attacks, with military officials describing the assault as “sinful Iranian aggression.”
"Kuwaiti air defenses are currently confronting hostile missile and drone attacks following the sinful Iranian aggression," The Kuwaiti Army said in a statement.
