US President Donald Trump says 'phase two' of Gaza peace deal to commence 'soon', says process 'going well'

Washington, Dec 4 (UNI) Amid rising tensions over the very likely reigniting of hostilities between the IDF and Hamas, US President Donald Trump said that the "next phase" of the Gaza peace deal will commence "shortly," as fears emerge that his plan may be stalled or even derailed.
Trump managed to table a ceasefire agreement between the Israeli and Hamas leadership in October, after rallying the international community in favour of his 20-point proposal for ending the Gaza war.
However, the Oct 9 document signed between the two parties, only dealt with the points pertaining to what has been called "phase one" of the plan, laying the groundwork for reaching a ceasefire.
