US House Republicans blame Biden administration for chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan

Washington, Sep 9 (UNI) US President Joe Biden and his administration bear full responsibility for US troops' \\"chaotic\\" withdrawal from Afghanistan, Republicans in the US House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Committee said in an interim report published on Monday.
\\"On April 14, 2021, President Joe Biden announced his decision to unconditionally withdraw all U.S. military personnel from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021. Over the following four months, the administration repeatedly delayed critical action that was necessary to mitigate the likely consequences of the decision. The result of their inaction was a chaotic Non-combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) where 13 U.S. servicemembers lost their lives and more than 800 Americans were abandoned behind enemy lines,\\" the report read.
The document notes that, when announcing the withdrawal, Biden said the decision was based on a number of factors, including consultations and advice with allies and senior US military advisers.
