US greenlights sale of a mammoth 12,000 aerial bombs to Israel for USD151.8 million

Washington/Tel Aviv, March 7 (UNI) The US has approved the sale of a massive reported 12,000 aerial bombs to Israel for a sum of USD151.8 million, the State Department confirmed in a statement amid the ongoing two nations' joint war against Iran.
"The US Department of State has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Israel to buy Munitions and Munitions Support. The estimated total cost is USD151.8 million. The Government of Israel has requested to buy twelve thousand (12,000) BLU-110A/B general purpose, 1,000-pound bomb bodies," the statement said.
The move comes amid increasing Democrat criticism of the GOP regime in Congress over its increased weapons sales to Tel Aviv, as the opposition party had earlier, in a failed attempt, tried to block weapons sales to Israel post the Gaza war, with some aiming to renew their boycott of US arm sales to the Jewish state.
