US Embassy in Oman issues ‘Shelter-in-Place’ advisory for Duqm and Musandam

Muscat, July 12(UNI) The US Embassy in Oman has issued a “shelter in place” advisory for the city of Duqm and the governorate of Musandam following recent activity in the region.
In the advisory, the embassy said, “U.S. Embassy Muscat has issued shelter in place guidance for the city of Duqm and immediate environs and the governorate of Musandam due to recent activity. If in Duqm or Musandam, to the extent possible, remain in your residence, hotel, or another structure, and stay away from windows.”
The embassy said it was closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and would continue providing updates to help people make decisions regarding their safety.

Naypyidaw/Dhaka, Aug 15 (UNI) Myanmar's military-backed government has said it has verified more than 426,000 Rohingya refugees on a list submitted by Bangladesh and acknowledged more than 308,000 of them as citizens, referring to them as former residents of western Rakhine state, and pledged to accept their return once security conditions in the war-torn nation improve.
