US designates RTF as Terrorist Organisation, India hails US decision

New Delhi/Washington, July 18 (UNI) In a diplomatic triumph for India, the United States has designated The Resistance Front (TRF), which was behind the horrific April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation (FTO) and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) outfit.
India hailed the US decision as a ‘’timely and important step’’ and strong affirmation of counter-terrorism cooperation between the two countries for zero tolerance against terrorism.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on X ‘’Appreciate @SecRubio and @StateDept for designating TRF—a Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) proxy—as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Gloabl Terrorist (SDGT). It claimed responsibility for the April 22 Pahalgam attack. “Zero tolerance for Terrorism. #OpSindoor.”

New Delhi, Jul 10 (UNI) Ayush Minister Pratap Rao Jadhav has urged Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to include 20 per cent medicinal plants in the proposed eight theme-based forests being developed under the city's massive plantation drive rolled out recently, according to officials from the Ministry.
