US Democrats rally in collective condemnation of Trump administration's legal victory, securing temporary halt to SNAP funding

Washington, Nov 9 (UNI) The US Democrats in their collective condemnation of the Trump administration, are rallying in protest after the Republican leader managed to secure a temporary legal victory, following a verdict issued by the Supreme Court, which ruled in favour of the GOP's move to delay releasing full funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) amid the ongoing government shutdown, now entering its sixth week.
According to Politico, the decision which came late-night on Friday, was agreed upon after the ruling issued from Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, approved the administration's request to pause a lower court order that would have required access to a separate Department of Agriculture account to provide full SNAP benefits to millions of US nationals.
The move leaves the future of the food assistance programme uncertain as the shutdown drags on with no end in sight.
