US and Jordan reaffirm defence partnership at 45th Joint Military Commission

Amman (Jordan), July 18 (UNI) The United States and Jordan reaffirmed their long-standing defence partnership during the 45th U.S.-Jordan Joint Military Commission (JMC), with senior officials from both countries pledging to expand military cooperation and address shared security challenges.
The meeting, held in Amman, was co-chaired by U.S. Assistant Secretary of War for International Security Affairs Daniel Zimmerman and Jordan's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Al Hnaity.
The Joint Military Commission serves as the primary forum for coordinating defense policies between the two allies. During the discussions, U.S. officials emphasized the importance of strengthening allied capabilities and encouraging partners to play a greater role in regional security.
