Urdu Council emphasizes promoting Urdu language, and literature in J&K

Srinagar, Sep 7 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Urdu Council (JKUC) on its foundation day on Saturday emphasized taking appropriate measures for the development and promotion of the Urdu language and literature.
Speaking at a function organised here on Saturday speakers emphasized the development and promotion of the Urdu language and literature which was attended by eminent writers, poets, and people from different walks of life.
During the ceremony, the annual report of the Urdu Council was presented, while those who showed exceptional performance in various fields were awarded for their recognition in the field.

Larji power project in Kullu restored

Shimla, May 18 (UNI) In a major boost to Himachal Pradesh’s power sector, the 126 MW Larji Hydroelectric Power Project in Kullu district has been fully restored and is now operational, less than two years after it was severely damaged in the catastrophic Beas River floods of July 2023.
