UP: Two killed as pickup collides with truck

Ayodhya (UP), June 9 (UNI) Two persons were killed and two others were injured when a pickup collided with a truck head on in Kotwali area of Ayodhya district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place at booth number four on Gorakhpur-Lucknow national highway when the pickup collided with the truck. "Two persons identified as Jagannath Mishra (55) and Rajesh alias Lallu Nishad (60), both residents of the Cantt area in Basti district, were killed in the accident," they said.
The sources said that two persons, who sustained serious injuries in the incident, have been admitted to the district hospital. "The deceased were returning to Basti after selling their produce in Naveen Mandi in Ayodhya. The bodies have been sent for post mortem examination," they said.
