UP Tourism launches special one-day tour for Deepotsav 2025

Ayodhya, Oct 11 (UNI) As Ayodhya readies to shimmer in the light of 26 lakh diyas, Uttar Pradesh Tourism has added yet another reason for devotees and travellers to rejoice. To make Deepotsav 2025 an unforgettable experience, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) has launched a special one-day guided tour from Lucknow to Ayodhya curated for those who wish to witness the city's divine splendour on October 19, 2025 without any travel hassles.
The announcement follows the strong response to UPSTDC's weekend guided tours to Naimisharanya and Ayodhya, launched on World Tourism Day. These tours have received an enthusiastic response, with an average of 22–25 travellers every weekend choosing to spend their days in Ayodhya, soaking in the spiritual aura of the holy city. During Durga Puja, the Bengali community showed exceptional enthusiasm, filling multiple weekend slots for the Ayodhya trail.
Encouraged by this response, UPSTDC has designed a Deepotsav-exclusive tour a one day journey from Lucknow to Ayodhya and back, complete with transport, meals, guides, and a front-row experience of the grand celebrations. Per person rate us Rs 1500. Officials said visitors will witness the lighting of 26 lakh diyas, a breathtaking aerial drone show, Maha Aarti, laser projections, and grand eco-friendly fireworks on the banks of the Saryu at Ram ki Paidi. Throughout the journey, local guides will share stories and legends of Lord Rama, turning the trip into a living narration of the Ramayana.

EOW files chargesheet in fraudulent appointment and salary withdrawal case

Srinagar, Nov 8 (UNI) The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against three individuals, including a retired headmaster, for their alleged involvement in a fraudulent appointment and salary misappropriation case, officials said today.
The chargesheet was produced under Sections 419, 420, 409, 468, 471 read with 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), before the Court of Sub Judge, Chadoora, against the accused Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Gazi , a retired headmaster; Mubeena Kawsar and Ifra Nissar in the 2022 FIR.

Third FIR against BJP MLA Hans Raj under POCSO Act

Chamba Nov 8 (UNI) A third FIR has been registered against BJP MLA Hans Raj from Churah in Chamba district. Filed on Friday evening under the POCSO Act, the complaint alleges that the MLA physically abused the victim when she was a minor.
