UP State Women's Commission demands ban on singer Badshah's concerts

Lucknow, March 12 (UNI) Taking a strong stance on singer Badshah's controversial song "Tettiri", the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission Vice President, Aparna Yadav, has written to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, demanding a ban on the singer's concerts in the state.
The Commission stated that the album contains vulgar language and indecent scenes against women. The song depicts female students wearing school uniforms inappropriately and addresses the sacred institution of school in derogatory terms. According to the Commission, this is not only against the dignity of women but also an insult to the education system and social values.
In this case, an FIR has been registered against the singer under sections 3, 4, and 296 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). A Look Out Circular (LOC) has been issued against him.
The letter states that in Indian culture, women are given the status of "Narayani." Therefore, hosting a performance by an artist presenting such objectionable material could send a negative message to society and undermine cultural values.
Keeping this in mind, Aparna Yadav has asked the Chief Minister to issue instructions to all district magistrates in the state not to allow any proposed programme or show by the singer. UNI MBD SSP
