UP: Speeding SUV kills two scooter riders in Lucknow

Lucknow, Jan 17 (UNI) Two young people were killed after a speeding SUV hit their scooter in the Banthra area of the city today evening, police said.
The victims were identified as Arpit Trivedi (22), a resident of Latif Nagar in Banthra, and Kajal Rawat (21) of Sahijanpur. Both died on the spot due to the impact. Their bodies were badly mutilated and later sent for postmortem.
According to police, the accident occurred around 7 pm when the duo was travelling from Bani–Mohan Road towards Kati Bagiya. Kajal worked at an Amazon warehouse on Bani–Mohan Road and was headed for her night shift. She had left home around 6:15 pm and met her friend Arpit on the way, who offered her a lift on his scooter.
