UP: Retired railway employee kills live-in partner

Jhansi, Jan 18 (UNI) A shocking murder case has come to light in Jhansi, where a 64-year-old retired railway employee allegedly killed his live-in partner (who was 27 years younger than him), chopped her body into pieces and tried to destroy the evidence by burning the remains over several days, police said today.
According to police, the accused has been identified as Ram Singh Parihar alias Brijbhan, a resident of Nandanpura. The victim, Preeti (37), was living with him in a live-in relationship in Brahm Nagar, Sipri Bazar. Ram Singh had already married twice, and Preeti was the third woman he was living with.
Police said the accused killed Preeti around seven days ago at a rented house located on a hill in Brahm Nagar, which he had taken on rent about 20 days earlier. After committing the murder, he cut the body into several pieces and wrapped them in a tarpaulin. To avoid suspicion, he allegedly burned one body part each day so that the foul smell would remain confined to the house.
