UP: Nine gamblers taken into custody after attack on police team

Bareilly, Nov 1 (UNI) Two policemen, including a Sub Inspector, were injured after being attacked by gamblers in Prem Nagar area of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh late on Thursday night, police sources said.
Police sources here on Friday said that the incident took place during patrolling when the police team caught some persons who are involved in gambling.
"The gamblers attacked the police team with sticks, iron rods and bricks in which SI Shubham Chaudhary and constable Manish sustained serious injuries," they said.
