UP MLA Pallavi Patel arrested while protesting against NEET paper leak

Varanasi, June 15 (UNI) Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) leader and Sirathu MLA Pallavi Patel was arrested by police outside Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on Monday during a planned protest against the NEET paper leak and other issues.
Patel had called for a protest march near the Singhdwar of BHU, but the administration had denied permission.
Police deployed at the spot arrested Pallavi Patel along with her supporters and activists. Police from several stations were deployed in and around BHU in anticipation of the protest. Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal and other senior officials were also present at the spot.

According to a Haryana Police spokesperson, the accused, identified as Sumit Kumar alias Lalla, was arrested by the Crime Branch, Sector 26, from Jalandhar, Punjab, on July 10.
