UP: Middle-aged man beaten to death in Basti

Bsati (UP), Apr 25 (UNI) A 45-year-old man was beaten to death over a minor dispute in the Parshuram area of Basti district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a police officer said here.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) OP Singh said that an argument between Buddhiram Chauhan (45) and Gopi Sharma, residents of Nipaniya village, turned into a brawl. "During this, Gopi Sharma hit Buddhiram on the head with a thick wooden stick, resulting in his death," he said.
He said that on the complaint of the deceased's son Rajesh Chauhan, a case has been registered against the accused Gopi Sharma under relevant sections. "The police is searching for the accused," he said.

Himachal HC rejects plea over disputed MCQ in Constable Recruitment Test

Shimla, Dec 6 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by a police constable aspirant challenging the evaluation of a multiple-choice question that allegedly carried two correct answers.
Justice Sandeep Sharma held that the court cannot determine the examining body’s intention in framing a question, nor could it substitute the view of subject experts.
