UP: Middle-aged man beaten to death in Basti

Basti (UP), Apr 25 (UNI) A 45-year-old man was beaten to death over a minor dispute in the Parshuram area of Basti district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a police officer said here.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) OP Singh said that an argument between Buddhiram Chauhan (45) and Gopi Sharma, residents of Nipaniya village, turned into a brawl. "During this, Gopi Sharma hit Buddhiram on the head with a thick wooden stick, resulting in his death," he said.
He said that on the complaint of the deceased's son Rajesh Chauhan, a case has been registered against the accused Gopi Sharma under relevant sections. "The police is searching for the accused," he said.
