UP Govt to monitor district public hearings

Lucknow, Feb 19 (UNI) As assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh inches closer, the Yogi Adityanath government has gone strict on compliance of public grievances and ignorance by the district officials.
The state government was forced to take the step after the matter was raised in the state legislature during the ongoing budget session.
The opposition legislators and supported by some ruling had alleged that district officials are ignoring their request on public matters and even not picking up their calls. Speaker Satish Mahana too on Wednesday ordered the officials to attend the public representatives request at the priority basis.

Uttarakhand witnesses 50 percent more GSDP growth, reduced poverty with 8 2 percent annual growth projected

Dehradun, March 5 (UN) Uttarakhand has witnessed more than 50 percent rise in GSDP growth as its annual growth rate is projected more than eight percent while poverty in the Himalayan state is down by 2.8 percent in the last 4 years. Annual growth projected for the state in 2026-27 will be 8.2 percent.
