UP: 3 youths drown in Rapti, body of one recovered

Siddharth Nagar (UP), Apr 25 (UNI) Three youths drowned due to strong current while taking bath in Rapti river in Jogia Udaipur area of Siddharth Nagar district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that Jamal (17), a resident of Nadepar village, Saddam (35), a resident of Bettiah in Bihar state and Sahu (19) had gone to take bath in Rapti river near Khetwadi Tiwari when suddenly all three started drowning due to strong current and went missing. "On receiving the information, divers started searching for them, out of which Saddam's body has been recovered," they said.
Police sources said that an operation is being carried out to search Jamal and Sahu. "A huge crowd is present at the spot. Local people are also helping in the search," they said.
