Under construction, bridge collapsed in Araria in Bihar

Patna, June 18 (UNI) A portion of an under-construction bridge over the Bakra river in the Araria district of Bihar collapsed on Tuesday. But fortunately no casualty was reported.
According to reports received here, a portion of the bridge being constructed over the Bakra river, to link Kurukshetra and Sikti, collapsed. It was being constructed at the cost of Rs 12 crores.
The construction work of the bridge started in 2021 under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Nirman Yojna. The length of the under construction bridge is 182 meter.
