UDF wins local body polls, NDA’s T'puram triumph signals political shift, LDF faces setbacks

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 13 (UNI) The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) emerged as the dominant force in the 2025 Kerala local body elections, securing decisive victories across municipalities and grama panchayats.
Meanwhile, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) created history by winning control of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, while the Left Democratic Front (LDF) faced notable setbacks despite retaining influence in several district panchayats.
In Kerala’s six municipal corporations, the UDF clinched four, with the LDF and NDA winning one each. At the district panchayat level, the 14 bodies were evenly split between the UDF and LDF, while the NDA failed to register a win.
