Two brothers shot dead in targeted attack in UP's Jaunpur

Jaunpur, Sept 14 (UNI) Two brothers were killed in an apparent targeted attack late last night in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur district. The victims, Shahjahan (55) and his younger brother Jahangir (53), were returning home after distributing invitation cards for their younger sibling's wedding, police said.
The incident occurred around 11:30 pm near the Majhigwa turn on Belwar Road, about 200 meters from their home in Ramnagar village.
According to eyewitnesses, unidentified assailants on motorcycles attempted to stop the brothers. When they did not, the attackers surrounded them and fired multiple shots.
