Two arrested in assault on Army Brigadier in Delhi, LG orders security cover for Officer’s family

New Delhi, April 14 (UNI) Three days after a serving Brigadier and his son were brutally assaulted by miscreants in Vasant Enclave of Southwest Delhi over objection to drinking in public, the Delhi Police has arrested two accused and initiated further action, while the Lieutenant Governor has ordered security for the officer’s family.
Police identified the arrested individuals as Satender alias Sonu (49) and Sanjay Sharma (56), both residents of Mehram Nagar. The two were allegedly among those present in a vehicle during the April 11 incident and are currently being questioned. The Mercedes car linked to the assault has been seized.
According to the police, the incident occurred when Brigadier P.S. Arora and his son Tejas objected to their public consumption of liquor, the men became abusive and passed objectionable remarks. Moments later, additional men arrived in two cars and started hitting the Brigadier and his son.
