Twenty20 joins BJP-led NDA alliance, signals new political course in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 22 (UNI) In a significant political development ahead of the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, the Twenty20 political outfit has formally joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a major shift in its political trajectory and a fresh realignment in the state’s evolving political landscape.
The decision was announced following a meeting between Twenty20 chairman and chief coordinator Sabu M. Jacob and BJP Kerala State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
The discussions, which culminated in the formal announcement of the alliance, were held at Mararji Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday.
