Twenty-seven Myanmar Nationals deported from Manipur

Imphal, Mar 21 (UNI) Twenty seven Myanmar nationals, including a minor, were deported to Myanmar authority by Indian officials at the Moreh gate check post bridge on Friday.
The 27 people had illegally entered Manipur and were staying at the foreign detention centre, Sajiwa Jail in Imphal.
Myanmar immigration officers who were present at the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge, Moreh, took away the 27 people in the presence of officials of the District Administration, Tengnoupal, Moreh Police, Indian immigration officials and personnel of Assam Rifles.

Friendly contest among GA partners on six seats in Bihar’s second phase polls

Patna, Nov 10 (UNI) The second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled for Tuesday will witness a unique situation on six constituencies where candidates of the ruling Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) will lock horns against each other in what is being described as a “friendly contest.”
These constituencies are Kahalgaon, Sultanganj, Chainpur, Sikandra (Reserved), Karhgar, and Narkatiaganj. On all six seats, different constituents of the GA have fielded their own candidates, resulting in intra-alliance battles.
