TVS launches NTORQ 150, deliveries start post-Diwali

Bengaluru, Sept 8 (UNI) TVS Motor Company today launched the TVS NTORQ 150, India’s first hyper sport scooter, marking a new benchmark in the performance scooter segment.
Priced at a special introductory rate of Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India), the NTORQ 150 combines high performance, advanced technology, and urban practicality, setting a new standard for city riders.
Aniruddha Haldar, Senior Vice President – Head Commuter & EV Business and Corporate Brand & Media, TVS Motor Company, highlighted that the NTORQ 150 delivers torque and acceleration comparable to motorcycles like the Yamaha FZ, Pulsar, and TVS Apache, while offering the convenience of a scooter in urban traffic.
“Its agility, cornering stability, and maneuverability make it ideal for city riders,” he said replying to an UNI query.
Haldar described the launch as a continuation of the NTORQ legacy, positioning the 150cc model as a hyper sport scooter that defines performance, technology, and design for a new generation.
On deliveries, Haldar confirmed that the NTORQ 150 will be available from the week after Diwali, with a new GST rate structure taking effect from September 22 that passes full benefits to customers, ensuring transparency and maximum advantage for buyers.
Haldar emphasised TVS’s dual approach to mobility, stating, “The future is not a choice between ICE or EV — it is both. Certain use cases are best served by ICE vehicles like the NTORQ 150, while others suit EVs. Our consumer-centric strategy provides compelling options for both segments, helping TVS lead in electric and conventional scooters in India.”
Powered by a 149.7cc air-cooled O3CTech engine producing 13.2 PS at 7,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm, the scooter accelerates from 0-60 kmph in 6.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 104 kmph, making it the fastest in its class.
Design-wise, the NTORQ 150 draws inspiration from stealth aircraft, featuring multipoint projector headlamps, a ‘T’ tail lamp, aerodynamic winglets, coloured alloy wheels, and a sport-tuned muffler note. Its forward-biased stance and naked motorcycle-style handlebar provide both raw control and aggressive futuristic aesthetics.
The scooter is equipped with a hi-resolution TFT cluster powered by TVS SmartXonnect™, offering over 50 connected features including Alexa and smartwatch integration, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle live tracking, last parked location, call/message/social media alerts, and OTA updates.
Safety features include ABS and traction control (first-in-segment), hazard lamps, emergency brake warning, crash and theft alerts, and follow-me headlamps. Comfort is enhanced with telescopic suspension, adjustable brake levers, patented E-Z centre stand, and 22-litre under-seat storage.
The NTORQ 150 will be available in two variants: a standard model in Stealth Silver, Racing Red, and Turbo Blue, and a TFT cluster-equipped version in Nitro Green, Racing Red, and Turbo Blue. TVS Motor Company, operating in 80 countries, said the NTORQ 150 builds on the brand’s strong base of over two million riders in India and abroad.
Haldar concluded, “With the NTORQ 150, TVS reaffirms its commitment to innovation, rider experience, and a consumer-first philosophy. This launch will strengthen the NTORQ brand, expand our customer base, and set new benchmarks in the scooter segment.”
