Trump's tax-cut bill passes Congress committee vote

Washington, May 19 (UNI) US President Donald Trump's tax-cut bill passed a key congressional committee vote on Sunday, paving the way for a chamber-wide vote.
The bill passed in a 17-16 vote along party lines, with four Republican conservatives at the House Budget Committee, who had previously blocked the bill, allowing it to advance by voting "present."
The bill includes a major spending increase for immigration enforcement and the military, and will extend Trump's 2017 tax cuts, which are to expire at the end of this year.
