Trump on Iran threat to attack Israel: World out of control, US leadership absent

Washington, Oct 1 (UNI) Former US President Donald Trump commenting on alleged plans by Iran to attack Israel said that US leadership is absent as the world is spiraling out of control and risking the start of World War III.
Earlier on Tuesday, a senior White House official told reporters the United States has indications that Iran is preparing to imminently launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel and that Washington is actively supporting defensive preparations to defend Israel.
"The world is on fire and spiraling out of control. We have no leadership, no one running the country. We have a non-existent president in Joe Biden, and a completely absent vice president, Kamala Harris," Trump said in a press release on Tuesday. "No one is in charge and it’s not even clear who is more confused: Biden or Kamala. Neither has any idea what is even going on."
Trump further said that war or the threat of war is raging everywhere and US leadership is bringing the United States to the brink of World War III.
The White House said in a statement that Biden convened a meeting with his national security team to discuss Iranian plans to imminently launch a significant ballistic missile attack against Israel. They reviewed the status of US preparations to help Israel defend against these potential attacks and protect US personnel in the region, the statement added.
The Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said in earlier remarks that Israel is taking the threat of a missile attack from Iran seriously. Hagari also said Israel received notification from the United States warning about a potential imminent missile attack planned by Iran.
