Trump claims Russia – Ukraine war will be over 'pretty soon' on sidelines of Davos summit

Davos, Jan 22 (UNI) US President Donald Trump, speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Board of Peace in Davos on Thursday, referred to the Russia – Ukraine war and said, that though it has been contrary to his expectations the most difficult conflict to solve, he expects a settlement between Moscow and Kyiv to be imminent, claiming that the war will be over "pretty soon."
Reiterating his misplaced claims of ending eight wars, he remarked that this will soon be the ninth entry on his roster of the conflicts he believes to have put to bed.
"The one that I thought was going to be an easy one, it has turned out to be probably the most difficult... But we have meetings, and we think we are making a lot of progress," Trump said at the signing ceremony of the charter of the Gaza Board of Peace, held on the sidelines of the Davos forum.
