Trough now runs from South Chhattisgarh to South Interior Karnataka: Met

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), May 18 (UNI) The trough from south Chhattisgarh to Comorin area now runs from south Chhattisgarh to South Interior Karnataka across Telangana & Rayalaseema at 3.1 km above mean sea level, Meteorological Centre said on Saturday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that the southwest monsoon is likely to advance into the South Andaman Sea, some parts of the Southeast Bay of Bengal and Nicobar Islands around May 19.
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal around May 22. It is likely to move initially north-eastwards and concentrate into a depression over central parts of the Bay of Bengal around May 24.
