Tripura strike demanding action against illegal migrants postponed to Oct 23

Agartala, Oct 10 (UNI) Tripura bandh scheduled for October 13 has been postponed to October 23, in response to requests from citizens aiming to keep Diwali celebrations uninterrupted, Tipra Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma announced today.
Ranjit Debbarma said that the Tripura Civil Society, which initially called for a 13-hour bandh to advocate for eight specific demands, chose to postpone the strike after hearing from various communities.
The new plan extends the bandh to a duration of 24 hours. He assured that all essential and emergency services—including ambulances, fire services, police, judiciary, and utility vehicles—will operate as usual during the strike.
