Tripura Congress alleged lack of transparency in SIR of electoral roll

Agartala, July 9 (UNI) Tripura Pradesh Congress has expressed objections over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, citing a lack of transparency and clear communication from the Election Commission.
Congress spokesperson Prabir Chakraborty demanded the assurance of public participation and proper supervision in the voter list revision exercise, while urging the state election authority to ensure a fair and transparent conduct of the entire revision process.
The Congress had previously submitted a letter seeking clarification on various aspects of the SIR exercise to the Election Commission of India (ECI) through the state election authorities but has not received a formal response or update on the issue.
