Tripura ADC to hold office three days a week as austerity measure

Agartala, May 15 (UNI) In an effort to reduce government expenditure and conserve fuel and energy, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) has implemented a new work schedule for its employees.
According to an official memorandum, employees will now physically attend the office for three days a week - on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - and work from home for the rest of the week, starting from May 16, 2026, until further notice.
The decision aligns with the recent appeal of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, urging citizens and institutions to conserve fuel and embrace work-from-home practices whenever possible. This move was prompted by the continuous increase in energy, petrol, and diesel prices, necessitating cost-cutting measures within the administration.
