Tribal Students' Association launches mass signature campaign over delay in E-Kalyan scholarships

Ranchi, Nov 12 (UNI) The Adivasi Chhatra Sangh (ACS) on Wednesday organised a large-scale signature campaign at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU) here demanding the immediate release of E-Kalyan scholarships for tribal and economically weaker students.
The campaign, led by ACS Unit President Vivek Tirkey, witnessed participation from over 1,500 students, who signed the petition urging the Jharkhand government and the Welfare Department to expedite the disbursement of pending scholarships.
According to the association, scholarships for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic sessions have not yet been credited to students' bank accounts. The delay has caused significant hardship for students who rely on the scholarship to pay tuition fees, examination forms, and hostel charges. Many tribal and underprivileged students are reportedly struggling to continue their education due to financial constraints.
