Transgenders being forcibly converted to Islam in Amravati: claims BJP MP Bonde

Amravati, Nov 15 (UNI) BJP MP Dr. Anil Bonde on Saturday alleged that transgender individuals in Maharashtra's Amravati are being forcibly converted to Islam and that those who subsequently return to Hinduism are facing harassment and threats.
Addressing a press conference in Amravati, Bonde claimed that an organised group is involved in these activities and has urged police authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.
According to Dr. Bonde, a group of transgender persons from the Muslim community recently attacked a temple of transgender devotees in the Bajrang Tekdi area. The attackers allegedly used swords and chili powder during the assault.
