Trainee IPS officer Uday Krishna Reddy hospitalised after alleged suicide attempt

Hyderabad, July 20 (UNI) Trainee IPS officer Uday Krishna Reddy was hospitalised on Monday after allegedly attempting suicide by consuming sanitiser at a relative's house in Motinagar, Hyderabad.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Monday morning, following which his relatives rushed him to a private hospital in S R Nagar, where he is undergoing treatment.
The incident comes a day after the Attapur police registered a case against Uday Krishna Reddy under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on a complaint filed by a trainee woman IPS officer, who accused him of sexual harassment. The case had sparked widespread attention at the National Police Academy.
