Traffic restrictions lifted as repairs on Mizoram highways near completion

Aizawl, Aug 10 (UNI) Police personnel in Mizoram, overseeing vehicular traffic on the National Highways 306 and 06, have successfully cleared a significant backlog of goods-laden vehicles.
By this morning, 826 trucks were released from traffic choke points, with only 36 vehicles still stranded, officials reported.
The released vehicles, which had been stuck in the Kawnpui area of Kolasib district near the Assam border, included 25 trucks transporting cooking gas cylinders and 62 tank lorries, comprising 29 carrying petrol, 27 with diesel, five with mixed fuel, and one carrying aviation turbine fuel (ATF).
