To support the governments vision of making quality education equitable, VIBGYOR Group of Schools waives fee hike

MUMBAI, India, Feb. 11, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- To support the Union Budget 2021-22's vision of making education accessible and equitable, VIBGYOR Group of Schools, a leading chain of K-12 schools, has announced that it will not introduce any effective fee hike for the academic year 2021-22. The decision was taken to help parents continue providing high quality education to their children, as the nation battles the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting financial crisis.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted many families since the lockdown began in March 2020, as businesses were forced to close, and people lost their jobs. According to a statistics ministry report published in January, India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is expected to contract by 7.7 per cent, in the financial year ending March 2021. This has created an additional strain on the economy and workforce, while the country attempts to rebound successfully from the pandemic's effects.
As the country recovers from the ongoing crisis with the launch of new vaccines against COVID-19, VIBGYOR is taking the step of waiving the effective annual fee hike for the academic year 2021-22, in order to extend support to families, and help them in ensuring learning continuity for their children. Accordingly, the tuition fee and other fee elements will remain unchanged for all current students, and the same will be offered to new enrollees across all VIBGYOR campuses.
Mr. Rustom Kerawalla, Founder Chairman, VIBGYOR Group of Schools, elaborated, "The Union Budget 2021-22 places great emphasis on strengthening the quality of education and making it equitable. As we emerge from the pandemic, the government is adapting various measures to make high-quality education accessible to everyone, and VIBGYOR has taken a step in this direction by announcing no effective fee hike for AY 2021-22.
The decision has been taken to help parents ensure the best of education for their wards, even amid the financial crisis. In the upcoming year, we will continue to offer our signature high-quality learning, personalised approach to pedagogy, advanced facilities, and learning tools, to our current and new students across India."
This moratorium is applicable to both, students who are already studying at VIBGYOR, as well as those who will enrol with VIBGYOR this year.
While there will be no effective fee hike in AY 2021-22, VIBGYOR is taking measures to put extensive safety and healthcare protocols in place, as schools prepare to resume physical classes for Grades 5-12, in accordance with government guidelines. For Grades Primary-4, VIBGYOR will continue online classes, which include student discussions and other interactive and engaging activities, through Virtual Learning System (VLS).
Registrations are open for admissions for all the classes. To know more, please visit www.vibgyorhigh.com.
