TN: Police registers case against MSU Professor for sexually harassing guest lecturer

Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu), Apr 30 (UNI) The All Women Police in Tirunelveli on Wednesday registered a case against a Professor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) here on the alleged charge of sexually harassing a woman guest lecturer.
Police sources said the guest lecturer in her petition submitted to Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education (TANSCHE), the National Commission for Women and the Tamil Nadu Commission for Women, accused that Dr C Kannan, Professor of Department of Chemistry, had mentally and sexually harassing her, besides creating obstacles to delay her research and submission of thesis for the award of PhD.
The guest lecturer also accused another Prof S Nagarajan of pressurizing her to alter revaluation results in favour of his wife, who had failed her examination.
