TN Guv to inaugurate 2-day meet of State, private varsity VCs on May 27

Chennai, May 25 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Governor R.N.Ravi, who is also the Chancellor of State Universities, will inaugurate a two-day Conference of Vice-Chancellors of State and Private Universities on May 27.
The meet, to be held at Raj Bhavan, Udhagamandalam, aims to have detailed deliberations and discussions on a gamut of issues covering Research excellence, institution development, promoting entrepreneurship, capacity building for faculty members, promoting universal human values, etc.
The aim of the conference is to further improve the standards of Higher Education in the state, a communique from Raj Bhavan said here on Saturday.

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) After the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) in its report confirmed the structural collapse of all three barrages of Kaleshwaram project, Telangana Irrigation & Civil Supplies Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday squarely blamed the previous BRS government for the collapse of the said project, calling it the biggest man-made disaster since independence and the most expensive engineering failure caused by any state government in the country.
