TMC launches multi-pronged attacks on BJP and PM Modi on his " Bankim da" in LS

Kolkata, Dec 9 (UNI) West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress on Tuesday launched a multi-pronged attack on BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for referring to literary icon Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay as "Bankim da" during his Lok Sabha address.
The TMC's multiple attacks on the PM were launched in different places as well as in front of the Central Hall of Parliament in New Delhi where a silent protest was organised for the alleged ignorance of the central leaders regarding the contribution of West Bengal in the freedom struggle as well as in post independence period.
The attack was spearheaded by TMC supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during her public address in state's farthest northern district of Cooch Behar where she demanded an apology from the Prime Minister for his "Bankim da" while elaborating the significance of " Vande Mataram", composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in the country's freedom struggle and its importance in modern India.
