TMC calls for fierce digital counter-offensive against BJP’s ‘relentless’ campaign on Bengal

Kolkata/New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) The Trinamool Congress on Tuesday sounded a clarion call for an aggressive, coordinated digital push to counter what it described as a “multi-pronged, relentless and calculated” attack by the BJP on West Bengal, urging the youth to emerge as the state’s frontline defenders in the information war ahead.
Addressing the ABDJ Conclave, TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee accused the BJP of politically appropriating democratic institutions and running a “ceaseless smear campaign” against Bengal through social media troll armies and a “compliant section of the Godi media.”
“Today, democratic institutions stand politically appropriated, reduced to instruments of a singular agenda to malign Bengal and discredit our achievements before the national audience,” Banerjee said. “The BJP’s attack on Bengal is relentless and calculated, and our response must be equally comprehensive, coordinated and fierce,” he added.
